I built an aerial photography rig about 4 years using a Trex 700E platform, PSOne 2XPT gimbal, 800 AP Skids, the works! Now that everyone has turned their interests to the multirotor scene, it makes the "OG" aerial rigs like mine seem almost crude.... a shame. Lol

My question is... What's the best way to sell it? Just turn it back into a heli, sell that, then try to list the other items seperate? Or ebay (fee-bay)? Hmm... anyone out there been in a similar situation? Only bouncing ideas off some fellow-flyers here, thanks!!
(Dx6i in pic below is only to operate the gimbal, remote shutter/zoom)

If it works for you, why sell it, just because the drones have come into the picture, That doesn't make your heli any more useless!! Just keep it and if needed, add a quad to your family... XGM/VGM

Very well said!! In all honesty, there isn't as much a demand for hiring someone for AP work, mostly due to RTF quadcopters with GPS that land themselves! Lol, long story short.... I'm getting outa the biz!! Hence, how can sell this ol' glory of a rig, or do I stuff it and hang it on the wall?

Ok I got ya,, I would probley put the 700 back to original form, then list the camera mount, and parts to upgrade the 700 separate, on Ebay (Flea Bay), you might get more money for everything there,, Hope all it all works out for you!! XGM/VGM

You could sell it in sections....

(1) The RTF 700e airframe is perfect for someone to install into a scale fuselage. I'm sure its already set up for smooth/stable and slow maneuvers.

(2) The gimbal could be useful for someone with a lower budget to convert and modify to a handheld DSLR unit.

(3) You can also gather up and sell all the video downlink system, which I wouldn't think it could be that outdated.

Just my suggestion, how do I know?

I think you're right. After weighing all my options, I believe that's the best route. Not necessarily trying to get the "most" out if this, but at least something! Lol, thanks!
