I love it. I hope they ripped it to pieces.

Death to drones.

What an idiot! As people are throwing things at it to try to knock it down, he stays there and lowers altitude???!!!! First of all, he shouldn't be flying there and as soon as someone tried to knock it down he should be high tailing it out of there!

Moron!

I enjoy the fact that everyone refers to the quads as drones. That will just put them in the same category as a real drone. Thus laws and regulations.

Inaccurate story, not an LAPD drone.

A privately owned DJI RTF POS.

so this story is incorrect ?

Several videos have been posted online showing what uploaders described as hockey fans destroying a Los Angeles Police Department drone outside the Staples Center Friday night after the LA Kings won the NHL's Stanley Cup.
Riot police were called in to break up what the LA Times described as a "melee" outside the arena following the King's victory over the New York Rangers.

In one clip posted online, a drone can be seen hovering over the crowd of hockey fans before it was knocked out of the sky by people throwing shoes and clothing:

Hockey is practically year round, until they strike.

Not an LAPD drone.

1. The quad did not belong to the LAPA

2. Yes the LAPD does have two "Drones" but they are not retail off the self stuff. Also they are Black not white.

3. The LAPD drones are grounded until they get permission to fly them. Dont you love it how they buy stuff they done even have permission to use?

4. The LAPD has the broken up drone, and are waiting for the owner to claim it.

Reporters that report crap should be fired. Take a few minutes and research the information to ensure the facts are correct.
