Ok, so my N5c has decided it needs a big brother. The obvious choice is the N7, DUH! LOL! Anyway, starting to prepare my list and was wondering if any of ya'll have been using the Futaba BLS272SV servos on the cyclic. This will be my first bird that has direct servo-to-swash linkages and I am probably over thinking the torque requirements. At 7.4V the 272's are rated at 167 oz-in. Is that enough and still provide a long servo life without extreme current draw? Or would I be better suited with maybe the BLS175SV which is rated at 292 oz-in?

My basic setup would consist of an OS 91HZ-R Speed, CGY750, probably Rail 716's.

Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Steve

716's were too big for the N7 when I tried them, it's a light heli and will feel floaty, 696s all the way.

I have the BLS272/276 combo on my N7. They are the updated version of the BLS255/256 which are what myself and many others use for more powerful and heavier electrics. You wont find more efficient servos out there and they are more than powerful enough.

Steve I am running the BLS255 on my N7. You will want the 696 rails. The 716 Are to big. The N7 feels like a lighter N9. Enjoy
