OK guys, you miss the point of the vid
Branden is a bud, and he got a cool ride in the R44. As for me I ama retired mariner/capt and until recently an adjunct professor at a maritime college. Part of my ship's medicine and medical care provider course is teaching cadets about how to conduct helo transfers, on deck landings, and in general do's and don't for shipboard helo ops. Big emphasis on ingress, egress and movement to and from the helo and moving when told and staying low and do's and don't, loose gear, protective equipment, rigid blade, soft blade coning effects. After all that review, visits to the local USCG air station to talk to pilots, rescue swimmers, hands on with equipment and in our case H65's. Have had numerous ex-military relate very experienced flight crews, crew chiefs doing things like walking into tail rotors etc. As the helo changes you need to been on guard, big bird, small bird, high rotor disc, cranked up tail, conventional tail. Add to that the moving ship, which can accentuate coning angles, easy to get killed. The Robinson's are the #1 selling heli in the world and the R44 rotor disc is 10'6" above ground but it uses non rigid blades that sag severely until up to speed. I use the video at the very end of my training and it really gets the point across to the cadets as they prepare to go to ships around the world. Always get some yells, gasps, screams, haven't had any blown chunks yet but some green in the gills cadets for sure.

He's flying his buns off before things slow down in life.
He's going to be a good Dad, and he's got a great wife.
