Trying to set up a TJ Pro on my Evo 50 SWM. Tj Pro instructions says the auxiliary and accessory channels are optiopnal. Do I need to use this aux channnel; or just use the servo and throttle channels. What is the benefit to using the auxiliary/Accessory channnels? Thanks.

Is your TJ PRo/RevMax limiter one of the older ones that still has the adjustable potentiometer for setting the governed/limited RPM?

If it still has that pot, then you don't need to use the Auxiliary input as you can use the pot to set RPM.

If you have one of the newer units that no longer has the adjustable pot, then you are required to use at least a 7-channel receiver, and you will be required to control the governed/limited RPM using the Auxiliary input.

If this is the case, your 9303 will need to have its governor menu turned on (Device Select menu, and set the GEAR function to "GOV", not GEAR or INH). This enables the Governor menu, and you will control RPM using this menu and CHANNEL 5 out of the receiver.

-----

The accessory output, for newer units, allows you to couple the Gov/Limiter to the Rev Glow unit, and will make your external glow battery a thing of the past, as well as hot starts and a few other things.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. I have the newer TJ Pro that you can use it as a gov or rev limiter. Ok I have channel 4 which is the only aux channel left; will hook it up and run the calibration. Also will use the Spektrum motor back plate sensor, found this out recently. Thanks again.

Channel 4 is rudder. Can't use that one for RPM control.

What receiver do you have?
