Hadn't flown my .30 in a long long time. Got it out today, and flew the heck out of it. That old helicopter really is a keeper.
I got burnt out on helicopters a couple years ago,but today I think I got the spark back.
As the other thread here goes. Thunder Tiger really did miss the boat not making an X30.

New comer to runryder and rc heli's,asking for help to setup my TT 30 v2.
Dear ALL ,
i am a new comer to rc heli's and have purchased a TT 30 v2 with a dead Ace radio,i have since acquired a hitec optic 6 with a optima receiver 2.4 ghz.Firstly i started reading the manual, both the radio and heli but i dosent say if it is 90 or 120 degree head any where,so i am stock there in the radio setup.i would be much obliged if someone could help me with the begineer setup for this model.

I debated all summer getting a Raptor 30 or an old JR 30 size heli but what stopped me was the unavailability of any size of 30 engines from OS. I really wanted to try a JR Shuttle with CCPM on FBL.

But let's not even get into me finding parts for the old JR Helis.

I'm using a Thunder Tiger .39 in my V1 Rappy 30. I've been quite pleased with this package. This engine was still available from TH in the recent past.

An os 50 will fit, don't have to be an os 32 or 37.

You used to be able to find both OS and TT .30 size motors here in the classifieds very cheap. I had one guy send me one for postage a few years ago. It flooded in hurricane Katrina, but he oiled it up and never used it. It is the motor I have on my .30 now
Helicraft still has raptor parts, and has been my "go to" raptor parts store for a long time.
