No problem Frank, well, quiet forum so might as well post an old vid of my King 2 with a brushless motor of some kind--I forget but was going nuts with funnels when all of a sudden out of no where---the ground

Howdy Dougy!
I got out of helis for a few years but now I've got the bug.

Since I sold all my helis, I had to buy a new one.

I wanted a Honey Bee as a trainer, I wound up with an WL Toys...V913.

It's a RTF fixed pitch 400 size. About $90.

As you might recall, I never learned to fly well. I did enjoy RR plenty though!!!

Especially thr E-Sky gang!

I remember every one of those guys.

On the topic of flying...I bought a little house heli for $35. It's a V911 WL Toys...

I'm now able to fly circles...It's been a mental block problem.

I lost interest in helis when I got stuck and couldn't make progress.

As I practice now , I think of something you said..."Keep forward motion and manage the tale to redirect in the direction you want to go".

I never wanted to fly upside down, but I do want to fly circles well enough to do "INSANE CIRCLES"!

Awesome Mike, Great price, heli's can get wicked expensive real quick.I've been reading a little about WL toys and Hisky heli's, seems there is some potential for inexpensive Fun.

Me too ! but it's Fun again for some reason, little tiny victories like Not crashing

Wow, someone actually took my advice, usually I'm just a "wiseguy" a "SmartyPants" but sometimes I'm serious

Doug

All kidding aside...

Here's what you should do.

Buy this heli for $36....Then get with Mark Ryder and start a WL Toys section on RR.

Check out this guy...He's a WL information source...But there needs to be a forum...That's where you come in.

WL toys
Doug

I go to bed at 9:00 and get up at 4:30 or 5:00.

The Wifey wants to know if you nap.

With WL Toys helis...I also have the V911..

I can afford to crash.

I can buy a whole bag of spares for $20.

I think that's one reason why it's fun again.

With my TREX's, I was too tense to try new stuff.

This led to boredom for me.

I couldn't afford to crash.

Pretty awesome MMike ! I'm not sure I would have anymore influence over what Mark creates as a forum than anyone else would but I am going to check out some more vids and info on these heli's. Are WL toys and Hisky the same company ? a little confused--they seem related somehow

No but I probably should-- I get loopy sometimes
I couldn't afford to crash.
me neither, the only reason I have a Trex 450 now is cause Kenny gave it to me with a boatload of parts--I might sell it and get a boatload of Hisky's or WL's

My boneyard holds a Blade CP, E-Sky Honeybee 2, and a little heli from HeliDirect that is so modified and cobbled together that I call it "FrankenHeli". All were evil little machines, but once mastered, made all other helis easy to fly.Gerry Cullan,
