Well it finally happened, our field runway was paved. We have been waiting a good while for this addition. Still plenty of grass to fly on aswell. It adds that official club feel to recipe. No, helis don't need paved runways but the planker in me sure appreciates it!

Well I suppose that will be me since I am now the ONLY heli guy in the "club". I think I will pass on any splattering since I'm down to 4 from 10 over the last 8 months!

Yes, I would replace carbon fiber tail blades that split or break if they touch the ground with KBDD plastic tail blades that just wear off a bit.

We have concrete pads at both of the fields I fly at, and no one loses tail blades.
The KBDD's are also helpful.

The pavement is for the planker in me and the grass is for the heli guy in me. But I can land swell enough to set down on pavement without busting my tail blades, what you guys must be beginners! JJ!

That's great! Hopefully I can get down there and see it sometime. Y'all still thinking about a fun-fly?
