I've just got stingray, and i am slightly biased but the stingray looks more efficient and way more manoeuvrable than this. However the ingenuity of this design is 1st class.Good luck

Hello

Cool concept...I like this more than the Stingray...multirotors should be simple.

I doubt that this concept would be as capable as the Stingray since the control inputs can be applied much faster than this reversing system...but something tells me the guys working on it have figured out "its good enough"

This really isn't a huge innovation its just an existing innovation (reversing motor rotation) being applied to multirotors.

Keep up the good work!

BTW...expect to see a line of props and maybe a few tweaks to some firmware from all of the other mfgs of the control system...thats all it takes to implement this aerobatic feature

Carlo

PS: The proceeding post was in response to when the direction changes...I though one thing but this makes the most sense.

That would make the most sense...

They would have to implement a switchless inverted setup like we have on the RC heli setups.

Yes, most likely. But how are they electronically reversing the motors...?

Relays or electronic switches that switch two motor leads????

Speed controls that have the ability built in????

Something else????

Bobby sent Kyle one to play with...got it Saturday. Played with it for a day, and made this video yesterday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlnuj-Nx1_I

It's been "boinked" pretty hard several times already...only damage is broken props.

Clean little machine. Since they call it the Invertix "400", I can suppose maybe there will be "250's" or "500's" (pick a number) in the future???

The set-up is just like your heli. Motors reverse at center stick, motors shut-off with throttle hold, "collective" and cyclic controls from the transmitter serve the same function in flight and a standard heli.

I agree. And the very low parts count is pretty enticing too...come to think of it.

The whole design is simple... very simple to build and no soldering required! Open box to flying in less than 2 hours. And the best part of simple means a much lower price point!

It's just like flying a helicopter in terms of collective throttle. Uses your radio's idle up switch and everything.

Don't doubt the technology of how it works, just buy one and enjoy it! Bobby wouldn't attach his name to something he has not fully tested and proven to work. He has been working on this for many, many months to get it right...

Watching Bobby fly this thing is simply amazing... watch the videos at encorerc.com and pre order one if you want to be one of the first to get the next big thing in the hobby.

You won't be disappointed!
