There is also more power to get out of this engine, will get some more video up when I think I've got it at its peak

Hi Ben, it's the 111, about to order the 115 to give a go too as you mentioned. Have also popped a shim out too so I will try and get some more video up with the changes (my collective management was non existent too I haven't been flying much lately, so that will improve)

Purchased the stock 115t gear from Thunder tiger. Will mod the frames and see how it goes. Head speed will have to come down a bit for the new gearing.

Got My Delivery
Received both Engine and Pipe from AMAIN Hobbies delivered for $767.52

It is installed into my Rex 700n DFC

Running needles at factory settings 2.5 turns out. Pretty soupy at these settings. Run 4 tanks thru last Sat. Rings is starting to seat as the RPM sound changed in the 4th flight. Next weekend going to start pinching it down over the next 4 or 5 tanks..

Sure is allot quieter then the OS 105 and Powerboost pipe that came out of the Heli..

Will post more results as I fly..

I have to agree, my SRX Hatori Tim Jones, is literally almost half the volume of my 91 Hatori.

Just about to pull the trigger on the 120srx and was looking at RC Japan, the image of the motor has a different cooling head to the one on Amain. Is there a difference...RC Japan's price is very good.

I see what you mean, hahaha.
I don't know, but I couple of guys on this thread bought the SRX from rcjapan.net and got the larger head.

I bought mine from RC Japan, Tates hobbies have them here in Australia as well at a great price. The rcjapan picture is an old one, they sell the right engine though, the picture isn't accurate.

How does this fit into a 700N airframe? Is there room for the head inside the cooling fan shroud?

OK. Thanks, Mike. What a beast engine. Holy smokes. $767 is a chunk of change too!

I've burned about two gallons through mine now and I am pretty impressed so far.

I just about have my second N7, with the 105, back together and I'm hoping to be able to fly them back to back this weekend. There is no way I can accurately compare performance based on memory.

The SRX is smoother than the SR power wise though I think the SR may be a little in front...we shall see....

I know it's a tangent, but seeing this beast engine become available sure makes it all the more a shame the G4.1 is discontinued. I was really hoping to have one in my future with the 120 Srx.
