The 8103 has a service menu that is easily entered, and one of the displays happens to show the voltage of the memory keep alive battery.-----

JR 8103 "Service Menu" to view actual Lithium voltage and some...EDited
Enter System Menu [SYSTEM M.] by pressing both [UP] MODE [DN] buttons while turning on Tx.

Using the [UP] button, scroll through the functions list until cursor is next to [MDL RESET] then press both [UP] MODE [DN] buttons again to go into that menu.

Set the GEAR switch up as in away from you

Flip the GEAR switch DOWN then press the DATA [L/+] button.

Flip the GEAR switch UP then press the DATA [R/-] button.

Repeat this fairly quickly about another 4 times until there is one BEEP and screen turns completely dark.

You should now be in the SERVICE MENU.

If there is no BEEP after 5 completed cycles, it failed, so start again.

Press [UP] MODE button to go to the first screen:
ACT (active = enable = on) or INH (Inhibited = disabled = off)

Swash Mix........ACT
Stick Dir............INH
ZPCM...............ACT
STICK MOD.....INH
TRANSFER....ACT

***********
Press [UP] MODE to go to the BATT-ery screen:

XX.Xv = Tx battery voltage
GAIN (mine displays +22 under it) = used to adjust/calibrate Tx batt voltage reading/display to actual batt voltage)
ALARM 9.3v = Tx low batt alarm. Its adjustable to 7.7v, 8v, 9v and 9.3 being the default and the only item that can be changed in this screen)
LITHIUM 3.28V (what mine reads and time to replace it as well)

**********

Press [UP] MODE to go to the STICK screen and where calibration takes place.

First number is the channel followed by a three digit number.

Below that two more set of numbers with an arrow pointing to either one depending on where stick position is. Im inserting random numbers so they will not match yours.

Stick
1 -300
-128
+50

(and on the right side of screen)

1+-
2+-
3+-
4+-

Move left Throtle stick all the way down (do not force, it stops where it stops) then press [CLEAR] button.
Move Throtle stick all the way up then press [CLEAR] button.

The number 1+- disappears. Done with throtle channel one. You most likely will end up with new numbers.

Press [CH>] button to select channel number 2 (aileron)

Move right (aileron) stick all the way to the right then press [CLEAR]
Move stick all the way to the left then press [CLEAR]

Now the number 2+- disappears.

REPEAT for channels 3 and 4.

***********

Press [UP] MODE button to go to CHECK screen and where you "check" and confirm all your switches and buttons are working.

CHECK
KEY
11111111 (these turn to zero 0 when you press the bottom buttons)

(and on the right side of screen)

S1:0
S2:l
S3:0
S4:1
S5:1
S6:1
S7:1
S8:1

Toggle your switches to change from 1 to 0 or vice versa.

IF they dont change you have a bad switch or button.

**********
Press [UP] MODE button to go to MONIT screen.

This is where you will see how good your pots are or not. Jumping numbers is indicative of worn or dirty pots. Ideally they should all be steady at 0 (zero)...ideally. Move stick and pots around.

**********

Press [UP] one last time for the last screen...

ALL CLEAR?

IF you press [CLEAR] you will have to recalibrate sticks again.

Turn Tx off when done viewing.
