Ive been getting their e-mails. They are making improvements to their website.
Everybody that gone under said the same thing, keep in minds that
these folks have daily shopper that would feel disappointed to know that they wont be able to get there hands on parts anymore
and they would feel real bad for the hobby shop,

That why they say down for maintenance so when the sad news hit us
it wont be a big deal for we already living without them.

Are they answering the phone and emails? Maybe that'd be a way to check...

Not on the weekend, which is when this either started or got noticed.

I just called them and the automated voice stated that there is limited phone support this weekend as they are in a fun fly in Georgia.
So at least the phones aren't disconnected. Lol

The site is back up. So far I don't like the new layout but I'm sure that's because I was so used to the old one.

It looks like they are using the Magento platform(Ecommerce php). I'm getting all kind of errors when I go to any page on the site. I buy most of my stuff from them. It's not too reassuring

I would expect that you will see several websites down for maintenance as site administrators patch for the bleeding heart bug. This bug impacts the secure transport that e-commerce sites use when customers access their sites. The bug is in OpenSSL which is used by many websites.

NOTE: I have no knowledge if this is why Helidirect is down but it is a reason why many sites are down this weekend.

OpenSSL is not a Windows issue which Helidirect appears to be running. I have done a few Magento implementations and appears that someone without the relevant experience is attempting the upgrade. Magento can be a a little tricky for someone that is just used to the normal PHP implementation. I wish a could take a look at their server

You would think they set up a test server first???

I need to order some stuff. What would be another to online store that sells SAB gear? I have tried a few machines and I still can't get to their site.

I already have had ReadyHeli passing out my personal info to however wanted it so I apologize if I do not trust the Heli model world...

You know I actually agree with you... I have not been using this site as much for the same reason you pointed out. I guess I'm a hypocrite. The only discussions tend to be ones just like this one on RR. I am going to Unsubscribe to this one. Good luck HD sorting out your server issues.

Thx for slapping me down Tomcat...
