New 150 dfc canopyWell, I like my 150dfc a lot but admit to having a little trouble seeing it at any distance when doing big air type maneuvers. I bought this canopy hoping it might help. What do ya think of it? Have only hovered it inside so far and hope to try it outside tomorrow. I have mixed emotions though due to a couple of things. I love the look of it but the first time I spread the tail portions apart just enough to pass around the main shaft, the canopy cracked about 2mm along the top just abeam the left hand swash servo. The second item was that the grommets immediately pushed out of the canopy when they contacted the mounts. I remedied this by placing 2 layers of small diameter heat shrink on the mounting pins themselves to enlarge the post to almost the size of the holes in the canopy to give it some cushion to sit on vs just having the narrow mounting posts poking through the holes. I may cut out the underside similar to the canopy mod on the stock canopy to allow easier battery installation. I used the Lynx CF landing gear but if you are to use the stock gear the sides of the canopy in the area of the skid struts will have to be dremelled out to allow it to move far enough aft to allow it to reach the mounts. Will report back on flight characteristics when I can.beating the air into submission...........cool!
