http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder_Tiger
Thunder Tiger's combination of modeling and aerospace technology makes them the only model manufacturer to obtain the ISO 9001 quality assurance certification.
Raptors have been around for a while. I think they are here to stay.
My fleet is almost entirely Thunder Tiger with a splash of Hirobo and Gaui.

Who has the staying power? Of course, that remains to be seen. Thunder Tiger helicopters have evolved and to my knowledge any platform can be retrofitted/upgraded with current production parts.
With their engineering mind set, Raptor pilots will never be left out in the cold. I think that would be the definition of "staying power" in a nutshell.

By what Ive been able to gather over the years and readng alot on all forums for RC anything is this simple concept:

The more exposure you have, your local field, online "outlets", LHSs...the overall better health your brand will have.
Like I said... Horizon/BLADE. They have all of that in spades. Heck, half of the monthly advertising in Model Aviation seems to be Horizon products. They'll be healthy for a long, long time.

Gaui sure seems to be churning out a lot of new stuff. They must be making money if they have the resources for R&D.

I don't get the warm and fuzzy from Gaui...especially after reading the issues with parts breaking...and R&D needs to have thier head examined if they think a 50cc 4 stroke gasser is going to be durable...I'm also not too confident about thier 500 class gasser concept, but maybe they learned from OSs GT15 fiasco.

as for TT (Raptor)..yeah they seem to be hanging on very well, and they do have a good online shop following, they sure don't look like they are going away anytime soon thats for sure.

Align is the taco bell of helis...everybodys had one at one point and either still has them or knows at least 5 places to get them.

E-Flight (Blade Pro) I definately agree they are splashing thier stuff everywhere,...they seem to have a good hold on LHSs that I have been to here in TX...cause if they sell helis, they got E-Flight.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Step into this decade. BLADE helicopter airframes haven't been E-flite in many years.

many years?...then why do nearly all Online sellers list E-flight and Blade under the same link?

HeliProz has them listed as E-Flight/Blade...so thats what I'm going with.

Go to the source and show us one heli on Horizon or Blade's website that's under the E-flite moniker. HELIS, not parts. You do realize, however, that long discontinued E-flite helis are still owned by people who need parts, right?

As for the others, it's because they are simply incorrect and/or too lazy to update their websites. Some people still refer to every single copier as a "Xerox machine". Doesn't make them right, either.
