I don't know if this is factual or not but I have searched RR and it appears Avant nor Carbon Extreme advertise on here anymore so I don't know if Avant and/or its reps are allowed to keep us updated on here. If your not going to visit the other sites then it appears you will be left out in the cold.

If anybody is going keep us updated please post everything you get updated on and not just selected things, that does not tell the whole story. in my experience usually when a person does not tell the whole story they have an agenda in mind or something to hide from the rest of us.

kris L just posted a full update: https://rc.runryder.com/t763626p1/

Thank you kris L.

have avant increased the dia of the feathering shaft? and thus increase the od of the blade grip bearings

my guess is they have and done the same as hirobo did with the sdx50
the blade bolt has too much unsupported area
hirobo used spacers for the blade roots to allow the larger bearings to be fitted with the same std bolt as the sceadu the sdx50 bent its blade bolts, with the option hardened bolt this cured the problem so hirobo updated the kits with the hardened ones as std

but as already stated i can't beleave they used a stainless bolt for the blade grips

I am always amazed at the people who know little about designing, developing and producing a product like this passing judgement on those who have.
A big +1 !

Another +1
Thank you kris L.

Avant tries to not just make their helis fly well they want them to look as good as possible. The Stainless bolts look much better and they had not had problems with the Aurora which used them for years.

The fact that Avant is fixing a lot of the problems out of the gate and not passing it on to the consumer is GREAT! That's how it should be done.
Where they went wrong is...making all these bogus release dates. They showed all these pictures of this gorgeous heli, then set release dates that weren't met. The consumer doesn't care about a company's problems...they want what they were promised!
Avant made a bad decision when they decided to set release dates. That is where they screwed up, and they will suffer the consequences for it. Avant has designed a beautiful bird, but because of their poor planning and marketing, their sales will not be where they could have been.
Bottom line...DON'T MAKES PROMISES YOU CAN'T KEEP!
Remember to keep everything balanced!

Yes a good engineer always puts form over function.

Just because they've never had the grip bolts fail in the Aurora, doesn't mean they should stick with the inferior, soft stainless steel grip bolts in the Mostro.

That is a really poor excuse. Nitro's don't put anywhere near the stress on helicopters and helicopter parts as the electrics do.

Who mentioned just the nitro Aurora? Last I checked eAurora meant "electric" and it's used those bolts for years.

If no one had it bend on the eAurora then it's more than logical to think it's OK to use. The reps got a hold of their kits and proved otherwise, no big deal and the problem will be fixed with higher quality blade grip bolts.

Honestly I've been following this thread and I think it's time you just drop it and move on, like others I agree as well you must have some personal vendetta against Avant and feel the need to take it out on a public forum. Just get over it, and let the people that have been waiting for their kits enjoy them once they ship.

If you want to fly another machine and don't agree with Avants business practices then fine, that's your prerogative. Just let the Avant forum be, I think it's enough.

Yes, you are right. I watched Jeti make the same mistake with DS-16 radio and people got upset especially with having made a deposit (remember the Aurora). Some of the people bailed but those who hung around (like myself) received an awesome radio system. After others started seeing these radios at the fields they had some of same people come back and purchase them while some moved on to other radio systems. Hopefully Avant will get some of the pilots back after the Mostro starts hitting the flying fields.

why
Isn't there a way to block this guy.Seems to be nothing more then a fool who has nothing better to do then look for a reason to bash a product. Is someone twisting your arm to stay on this forum. I've been following this from the very beginning .What amazes me is the patience and professionalism that the reps have shown handling such a high school gym loud mouth as this guy rock. Move on go bother some other people. Hopefully your name will get around so much you'll get on everyone's ignore list .Geez you got to be kidding All of this is just a humble opinion that I'll only state ONCE
Stop worrying about it just fly . Team Lynx ( the best products )// Mostro/goblin 700 & 570

Sheesh - OK I'll concede.

I just wanted to open peoples eyes. To let them know that it is not right that a company treats it's customers the way Avant is treating them.

I wanted to let people know that any company who tries to sell you a product that is "perfect out of the box" is blowing smoke up your a$$.

I just wanted to get people to think about it.

I'll continue to watch the Lemmings marching off the cliff from a distance.
