Beyond Heli...

I have no clue who they are...they have a website, but they are not on Centurys list of vendors Nor does this site have any information about who they are, where they are located nor any phone numbers or peoples names...thier site is also not secured by verisign for online purchases to top it off.

all this is a big RED FLAG to me when ordering stuff online and my advice would be to not order from them for the very reasons I listed.

It seems that there is a member here whos RR name is also "Beyond-Heli"...never posted anything, a few pictures in gallery...wonder if there is a connection?

I understand were your comming from, I can agree that he stopped carrying Century right after the G20 came out..he did what he could with the brand but I guess it did not sell well for him and the whole $200 kit thing sealed its fate at his store.

Good catch! More research is definately needed on that site.

Just tried to do a mock checkout and there is no payment method to choose from. Strange!

well it seems that the same guy that is a membr here and has a profile under Beyond Heli, and a company search list the same apartment address...I doubt he has all that stock for all those brands in his tiny apartment.

beyond heli has zero inventory. this is almost like the nitro models website where there is no inventory but they will gladly take your money at a higher price than most others and then find the part and have it drop shipped.

Peter Chao confirms that Century will be producing new helicopters in 2014 as well as continuing support for the existing models

As you know Zenoah is releasing the RC320 engine soon
  1. Century Helicopter will update the T700-RC conversion to support this engine
  2. There MAY also be a Radikal 320 RC version. This would be an RC version of the existing Radikal 30V2. There were prototypes of the design produced last year so it would only need to be updated to allow mounting the G320RC engine

Now everyone listen real close. after all that has been said I managed to get in touch with heli-world two days in a row. by telephone. they actually answered the phone. I had to hold for 48 minutes before someone live picked up the phone. I tried to order parts only to get told everything I needed was discontinued. I got a little upset with the guy on the phone and then he told me hold on and I held for another 12 minutes or so. when he came back to the phone he apologized and stated he was new and that all the part numbers had been changed. As it turns out they every blasted part in stock I needed. All. they shipped that day. I was told the reason the website is messed up is because of the change over on the part numbers. This does not make sense to me as the manufacturer established part numbers. I guess heli-world can change them around and then cross reference. I don't know if I believe the explanation or not but like I said I managed to get in touch with them two days in a row. they apologized for the lack of support, the lack of phone coverage, the busted website, and the rain I was driving in. In other words they were just plain sorry over everything that is happening. I was reassured they are not going anywhere and that they are working on getting all these issues resolved.
Now when it comes to Century and the continuance of parts availability I could get no definitive answer. it was a big side step on that issue. What does this tell us? at this point who knows? I am thankful I was able to get the parts I needed put on order and the fact that they have shipped out.
If I did not have so much invested in the radikal gasser I would not try and put it back together. with glow fuel at $30 plus a gallon gas sure sounds good.
To you Century I will say that you have a golden opportunity to own the gasser market. you just need to fix the few quality control issues you have and then fix your support and parts supply. We all crash at some point, we do not blame that on the manufacturer. We do however lay blame at your doorstep when you take our money for a product and then terminate the parts and support availability. If you think profits are tight and the market is tough now just wait and see what happens if you continue to treat your customers in this manner.

hey strat, century is the manufacturer you da. they make their parts. the only reason I have century is because of the radikal gasser. if anyone else had a viable solution I would have abandoned ship long ago because of support and parts. if you don't think it is a problem just search through the many treads and post that will tell you otherwise.

anyway I was trying to give them a thanks over finally answering the phone and to let them know what needs to change. anyway I am done discussing this issue.

well it seems the only certain thing is that Century will be sold by only ONE vendor in the US...

If they are trying to save and make a higher profit by cutting costs, I'm not sure how this makes any sense to kill off your once plentyful vendor list.

sales depend on exposure AND customer service...and they seem to have shot themselves in the foot with this website hiccup...I sure wouldn't have waited an hour on hold thats for sure.

gearhead if it were worth the effort I would copy my phone bill showing the call and post it here for you. it was not an hour but it was 45 minutes and then another 12 after talking with the tech while he got clarification on part numbers.

Does anyone know anybody in Cali that go pay them a visit to find out when they will get their house in order? I have a gasser to put back together.

Also, what time is everyone calling? I thought on their old site they had some weird hours. Like noon(Cali time) show time unless my memory(one way) is slipping.

Yup, memory is kinda slipping. They open noon East Coast time. Just called them. 13 minutes on hold and got the female rep and she stated that the IT(manager) isn't in yet(9:30 am Cali time) and she will pass on the info concerning the website's issues. I left my number so we'll see if they call back.

I remember being a Tech In Austin...If your butt wasn't in working on the systems that paid for your paycheck BEFORE business hours started...your butt was fired.
