BLS-255HV on 8V
Hi,

Can you run BLS-255HV on 8v from a Kosmik BEC? The specs only say 6 to 7.4v. Is that right? I don't want to burn them out by running at 8v.

Yes, 7.4v it is understood as the nominal value of an 8.4V battery.
They will be fine.

Though I think you would be ok, the factory suggests running them on 7.4 because that ends up being the nominal voltage when a 2S lipo bleeds off its peak charged voltage. That's why the voltage recs are what they are and were the basis for testing. They distinguish between 2S unregulated and 8V+ regulated
