Robert Gorham's thread made me reminisce about the hobby in general. Thinking back on all the helis I've owned and flew/tried to fly and enjoyed.

How many have you owned?

Here's my list:
Concept 30
Kyosho Hyper fly (1/2 a Heli, no tail rotor)
Eco Piccolo
MsComposit wHornetII
Hirobo XRB
Thunder Tiger Raptor 30 v1 woof and poof
Thunder Tiger Raptor 50
Align 450xl
Align 450Se
Align 450 Pro
Align 450 Sport v1
Blade MCPX v1
Blade NCPX
Hirobo SDX
Blade MCPX BL
Mikado 550sx

15.5 helis so far, and I'm just getting started! Don't be shy, I know some of you have had more helis than I've had dinners

I know one guy here that currently has, at last count, 48.

My list is pretty short.

GMP Cobra (speaking of RG1)never got it off the ground without crashing.
Dug it out, after 30 years in the basement and gave it away last year, then started over...all electric.
Blade MCX2
Some Chinese made cp micro...don't remember the name
Blade 130x...POS

The ones I have now, in order of purchase:
Logo 400
Logo 400 stretched, 550 mains
TDR
Trex 450
Align Hughes 500 with 450 mechanics, under construction.

I just started last summer though.

Too many to keep track of, some I would only fly a few times and sell it. I have at least 9 or 10 most of the time.
Wanna buy a heli?

I might have an idea who that is, he's gonna have to attach a spreadsheet to this thread

I'm pretty sure he's not on any heli sites...doesn't have time.
His name is Roy, and the helis are all Algin...all have their numbers on the top of the canopy.

He's a fun guy, and helps everyone he sees.

late 80's/early 90's.
Several ****tles, a ZXX that I kept flying with one or two other ****tle kits to rob parts out of.
JR Ergo 60
JR Vigor (great kit)

today:
Trex 450 (retired)
Trex 700E V1 FBL conversion (still in rotation)
Whiplash 700E (in rotation)

No problemo. I'm one of maybe 3 or 4 individuals on the planet mentally and socially deranged enough to fly r/c helicopters FPV so glad to help (there's one or two guys on fpvlab that FPV helis, but don't remember who they are).

I will say to start off don't start with a helicopter, use a multi with GPS mode like the Phantom or a DIY with a Naza/GPS to learn with. Just the one piece of advice I'd give if I could give no other....

Wabbit ---

Me, 1974, converted DuBro 505 into the Ed Sweeney Superbird.

Lasted all of about ten seconds in flight before the set screw holding the swashplate follower let go...and that's when I learned about the virtues of Loctite...

I'll try to do this from last to current:

AirHog (it started the mad addiction)
Protos co-ax
ExceedRC MadHawk
Walkera CB180
Walkera 4G6
Walkera 4#6
Blade SR
Blade 400
Trex 450
Raptor 50
Trex 250
Compass 6HV
Blade mCPX
Trex 500
Trex 600e Pro
Blade 130x
Blade 300x
Compass 7HV
Gaui x4ii

I've mostly maintained a fleet of 3 heli's. I don't see the point in having a collection of birds that I don't fly.

For me its been entirely too many to be honestly that’s why I have slowed things down. Here’s my list…

Esky Belt CP
Esky Belt CP Pro
HDX 450
HDX 500
Trex 450
Trex 450 Pro
Trex 450 Pro
Trex 450 DFC Pro

Blade MCPX BL
Blade Nano
Blade mCX
Blade mCX2
BLADE TANDEM RESCUE
Blade mQX
Blade nano QX
Blade 120SR
Blade 130X
Blade 130X
Blade 130X
Twister Sky lift tandem
GAUI 200
GAUI Hurricane 550
Ourtrage Velocity 50
Thunder Tiger Dominator
Thunder Tiger Raptor 30
Thunder Tiger Raptor 50V2
Thunder Tiger Titan FBL
Trex 500
Trex 500ESP
Trex 500 3G
Trex 500DFC
Compass Atom 500
Goblin 500
Trex 250
Trex 250 FBL
Trex 250DFC
Trex 550DFC
Trex 550DFC
Trex 600 NSP
Trex 700N
Trex 700E V1
Trex 150 DFC
Trex 450L Dominator
Logo 500SE

Synergy E5
Goblin 700
HenseleitTDR 700 (best quality heli I have ever had my hands on)
Compass 7HV

DJI 550 with Naza GPS

And I know I am missing quite a few, cannot even remember. As of 2014 I have not renewed my AMA and fly only my MCPX BL, and Trex 150DFC going to the filed has become a hassle not to mention I really want to try my hand at FPV. I have a feeling multi rotors will change the face of our heli hobby in the future.

Ugly can be fixed stupid is forever!
