Receiver Voltage Before the BEC??? I am using a 14SG with the 7008SB receiver and a Western Robotics Hercules BEC. If I have one of Futaba's CA-RVIN-700 External voltage cables wired to the ESC for the motor batteries how would I monitor the actual receiver battery voltage? I know the system automatically shows a receiver voltage but the problem is it's showing the voltage after the BEC (5.4V). I want the voltage before the BEC. In order to get this voltage, would I have to purchase a SBS-01V and put it on the battery side of the BEC in order to get the actual receiver battery voltage rather than the post BEC voltage? Can you even run both monitors at the same time? Trying to figure out if this will work before I spend the $55 on the sensor. |

You can use the external voltage wire port. Or you can get an sbus2 voltage sensor. The receiver voltage is a freebee. Both 7008 and 7003 receivers do 2 voltages out of the box (but you still need to buy the cable $11). You can add more voltage sensor by buying sbus2 sensors. I have the similar setup on 700E DFC Pro. External voltage shows me the pack voltage and the receiver show me the regulated bus voltage from the BEC. |

I use the 7008's external voltage wire port now for the motor packs (12s). That works fine. I was just wondering about an unregulated receiver reading. So if I understand you correctly, your saying if I buy the SBUS2 sensor cable, I could tie that in to the battery side of the BEC and get the unregulated receiver voltage? Correct? |

Yes you need to monitor a third voltage so you need the sbus sensor. Btw why are you not just using the main pack to power the BEC ? Why the extra weight. |

I needed the extra weight up front for balance and I like the fact of having a separate power source for the receiver. Just a preference. |

I take it that it's okay to connect the external voltage sensor to the R7008SB when the motor and Rx are running off the same 6S lipo. The reason I ask is that the warning on the instructions says-"Turn on the receiver prior to connecting the extra voltage input". When connecting the battery - both will be supplied power simultaneously. Is the warning for safety or could it damage the receiver.T- Rex 600N Pro, T-Rex 600N Pro, T-Rex 550e |

You are correct. You can connect it! I haven't had any issues in the time I've had it hooked up. |

Hi Guys
I have the Futaba CA-RVIN-700 external voltage cable but a little confused with the instructions. The diagrams show the fuse connected to the negative (black) wire but the text says to solder the fuse to the positive (red) wire.
I'd appreciate if someone could confirm which wire to connect the fuse too.Rod 14sg....... ;-) |

While on this topic. Has anyone used a MHA monitor? And which one would you recommend? How dose it hook up?Synergy Field Rep Rail Blades Field Rep |
