I will keep believing and following the tx on. WAIT, then turn on rx.
And here in lies one of the fallacies of your statements. The transmitter has no idea whether the receiver is on or not. The transmitter does not change its behavior based on when the receiver is turned on. Waiting to turn the receiver on does not change the start up process of the transmitter. That is a fact.

The brand of radio is irrelevant. The issue is physics. If you were flying something like a Jeti DS or DC system that can look at RX signal strength from the tx this would be a different conversation. As JKos pointed out, letting the TX stay on for a few seconds prior to turning on the RX makes no difference. That action doesn't add to any feeling of security.Part 107.
The only ZERO flight hour certificate in the world.
It's like getting a driver's license without the driver's test.

wow guys, Thanks for the beating. I stand corrected. I apologize for having an opinion and sharing it. I like this forum and appreciate the help it has offered me. I promise not to give any advice in the future. I will however stick to my start-up procedures. They have worked for me thus far. All I can speak from is experience and observations that i've had at the field.

No worries. It's all good. We all get beat up over having an opinion, it will happen again. If you like to wait a while before turning on your RX that's fine but at least now you know there is no good science behind it, just personal preference.
