Hello All

Watch at YouTube

It was very dark flying when I flew around that construction zone and I was able to fly around FPV with no issue...I could see everything I needed to at 30fps.

I have been experimenting with a FLIR thermal camera as the primary visual feed back during FPV flying. The images are adequate and I can see just fine on a pitch black night. I can see cars moving in the distance, and the shape of all obstacles of concern (power lines, poles, houses, plants, trees, ground).

The FLIR camera also works well during the day. On interesting thing to see is how even your sprinkler coverage is

I have the option to switch between my Gopro 3 Black and my FLIR using my TX. I will be adding a video capture card to my ground station so I can have my video, telemetry, maps, and low res video recording from both cameras all on one screen.

Here are some pics of my setup.

They can save lives !! Especially if a small child get's lost in a wooded area or a massive corn or bean field and you gota pretty good idea of the area. Good track dog's are also great but kinda rare in some areas.

Just about any rescue group should have one - if you want to find some one that wants to be found.

Well Done -

Nice!

Now one thing I always thought was weird is the term FLIR. Forward Looking Infa-Red if I remember correctly. This begs the question on why they need to say it's foward looking. What if you point it backwards, or downwards

FLIR video just isn't the same without the 30mm gunfire and the hot pieces of meat flying around.

I use equipment from ready made RC...I think its called the tiny video switch.

I did not switch between camera last night because my GOPRO was dead.

Great looking system and the night video was pretty good (except the guy waving could see it:crazy).

What is the flight time?

Yeah the multi has the Y pattern flying lights...1 blue, 2x red and a strobe on the aft most motor boom.

When its far away it look like a spec....lets just say I rely on the fly to home feature a lot

The flight time with some very worn out 4s, 4ah packs is 5 mins.

I will be going to 4s, 5-6ah packs soon.

Thanks
Carlo
