Does anyone know what would happen if you put a FBL controller on a flybar heli?

I read the thread from earlier, it was kind of helpful. I guess I'm just gonna have to try it out for myself and see what happens.

I don't think its a weird question.
Sounds like a tuned suspension AND power steering.

Has anyone tried it and had the fabled controller war that oscillated the bird into the ground or anything drastic like that?

BD/HC make mention of using the 3SX model with a flybar. Never paid attention to it as I have nothing with a flybar.

So far, all I've heard of is the HC FBL system, what about the AR7200BX? Is there something special about the HC that makes it work when others won't?

The HC3-SX has self-leveling capabilities.

I found the FB is more proficient of correcting deviations than a FBL unit. Since I use both on the machine, it seems more tight and secure.

It is important to note this is only for AP applications, not my sport or 3D use.

Does this mean that it won't work well for 3d use?

A FB accompanied with a FBL unit is capable of 3D. However, the machine will not be as receptive to stick movements.

It should work fine however you will have to do your own tweaking and experimenting to get it to how you like.

I would think it would work fine with an AR7200BX and you could crank up the Direct Cyclic Feed Forward (Pot 2).

60% of the time, it works every time!

I was just pointing out that you are seemingly using a pod and boom heli as an AP platform as opposed to a multirotor. Can I ask why?
