Finally got the Scout in the air over the holiday. Can't believe how well this heli is built and flies. I noticed immediately the lack of tail authority attributed to the only 3.2:1 ratio. Are you Scout fliers increasing the ratio/rpm or using longer tail blades.

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

I am pretty sure most just used longer tail blades.

Longer tail blades will work.
Another option if the front crown gear is 16 tooth is to hunt down a 15 tooth X-Cell one. Try Ron Lund. It shares the same pitch and dimensions.

jczankl,
I'm running Schluter plastic, 105mm, semi-symmetricals now. I'm running DY Products Light Blue F-150, 680mm mains. Using the 680s does allow the mains to contact the tail blades, so I'm leaning more toward gear ratio change.

Dr.Ben,
I can't remember if the front pinion is 15 or 16T, I'll check this.
I have the first edition Scout which uses the same tail gearbox as the Junior 50. The gears are 17Z(S0347)driving and 22Z(S0348)driven. It may be possible to use a pair of 17Z or 22Z in this gearcase, I don't know. Perhaps the necessary shimming/spacing can be achieved.
The ScoutII uses a different gearcase. This case is also used on the MagicII, however, the MagicII is fitted with 2-20T(S0319)gears for a 1:1 ratio, while the ScoutII is fitted with 1-17Z(S0347) and 1-22Z(S0348).

Anyone already done this?

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

Back in the day we used to flip the input gear with the output gear and run NHP tail blades. If you do speed up the tail I would recommend better blade holders with thrust bearings.

Schluter Scout
How about some M.A. tailrotor speed-up gears?
