Here are the parts and steps how to conversion a logo 14 to belt pulley driven tail. This mod is very simple to do and you don't need to drill any holes on to the frame. You can convert back to the original logo 14 tail system if you want later.

Here are the list of parts that you be needed. The most important part is a synergy frame connector block.

MIK4059 Drive Pulley LOGO 500/500SE/550SX/600/600SE/600SX
MIK2330 Bearings 3X6X2.5 (6 or 8)
Synergy 610-312 Frame Connector Block
A Piece of carbon fiber and M3 spacers
2 M3 and 1 M4 bolts

Now comes the labor;
Step 1
Use a piece of carbon fiber and cut the length as same as the wide of the frame. You have to cut into a wing shape (1st picture). This wing shape will helps to lock the whole system into the frame and prevent it from moving back and forth. Then use the synergy frame connector block as a template and drill 3 holes on the carbon fiber piece. (2 M3 size and 1 M4 size holes)

Step 2
Use 6 or 8 bearings 3x6x2.5 size, if you use any larger bearings then there is not enough room for the belt to go through. Stack 6 or 8 bearings with spacer, just high enough that you can slide the whole system into the boom holder block.

Step 3
Takes the drive pulley flip over and sand two slots deep enough to hold the pin. Cut the pin down to actual length.

Step 4
Most important step, once you mount the boom back to the airframe, you have to adjust the boom holder block so that the belt move evenly on the bearings and the drive pulley.

Happy flying, let me know if you need more info.

I don't know if this setup will work on logo 10 since I don't have one to try it out.

Good idea, this was one of the faults of the 14, otherwise such good helis for their time, leaps ahead of everyone really. I have not had a 14 for years but they were cool .

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

How is the original belt long enough?

Did you do an analysis of the change in tail ratio?

Hi John,

I'm using logo 500 belt for my conversion (515mm blade), the original belt wasn't long enough to reach the main pulley. As for the tail ratio, I'm not good with tail ratio calculation. Maybe someone could help me out.

How many teeth on each pulley (original and new setup)? How many teeth on original tail drive gear?

Ok, i found the teeth count.

Logo 500/600 pulley system
Drive pulley 42T
Tail drive pulley 9T

Original
Main gear 200th
Drive pulley main gear 40th
Tail drive pulley 9T

Original tail system run two stage gear.
200th main gear to second 40th drive pulley main gear similar to the logo 400 tail system.

So the original tail ratio is 200:40 or 5:1.

Based on the larger drive pulley at 42 and smaller pulley at 9, that makes the new tail ratio 4.67:1.

How do you calculate tail ratio for the original with
Main gear 200T
Drive pulley main gear 40T
Tail drive pulley 9T

Because the front and rear pulleys were the same, only the gear ratio matters. If the pulleys were different you would have to account for that, too.
