To get back flying helis. Learn new maneuvers. Not just pointless risky flying

I swear never to try that trick again! What the hell is only money!

Seems like most of you addicts want to fly more, buy less and finish what you have not crash and enjoy this great hobby.

One more thing that may be missing from the list is.....

THINK SAFTY!!!!

I may finally sell off my helis. For FPV, multis just work so much better, so I'm moving the farm over to various multi rotors.

The helis drift no matter what I do and the multis don't - drifting just drives you nuts while FPV though you can get away with it line-of-sight and not notice it.

Also may try to solve the range issue on the radios. The main hazard of FPV is accidentally flying out of range which I've nearly done a couple of times. So may invest in an LRS (long range system) and experiment with it on one of the multis....

From what I have seen and read about this hobby:
Get my addiction under control before I am totally broke or my wife kicks me out... or both
There is no easy way for that to happen! Not that anybody has a heli addiction Good Luck!

Fly more, fly with a purpose, and learn more new maneuvers.

Transfer the things I've learned on the sim this winter to the real thing.

Plus build the TT x50b that's still in the box.

Unfortunately as I mentioned in another thread, I bought "too many" helis in 2013. Retired, on a "budget". So, if I'm lucky, I might get to build just one more in 2014, maybe not. Don't know what kind. Anyway, I'm flying the heck out of what I have (what a concept ) as weather permits, getting much better at inverted hovering - my latest milestone - and will learn how to "fly it around" inverted eventually. Also progress to true controlled tic-tocs, elevator and aileron. Wife is very OK with the hobby as long as I keep the bills paid and proper dining out on occasion

My 2014 heli goals are:
Controlled, and precise piro flips
Controlled, and precise rolling circles
Controlled, and precise figure 8 funnels in all orientations
That should keep me busy for a while
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Remember to keep everything balanced!

I guess I now have to revise my goals. Just woke up this morning to my main hot water heater leaking, so now I have to replace two of the things, as they are both the same age, and don't want to go thru this again any time soon.

There goes my new heli. Down the drain (figuratively speaking)

Quite a list, mine is a little simpler:
Controlled and precise forward flight.

I guess since I got back in to this 3 years ago, I rebuilt two 1001s, flew the crap out of them, retired one, bought two Fury Extremes, have one almost ready to go! I guess I"m gonna try and play catch-up this year, may-be try flybarless by year end!

Fly more and stress less.
Enjoy the hobby and not structure it so much.
Attend more events.
Help/mentor when I can.
Thin the fleet a little.

Cheers!

Scale Flier..
Practising for Sportsman F3C. These are mostly precision hovering manuvers that hopefully will help me with the mandatory's in 518 Scale Heli..
Sounds pretty simple compared to some listed here, but it does take time and practice..
Continue on course from 2013 to complete projects already in my shop without adding more... well, maybe one more pod and boomer to practise with!!

Happy New Year
