I know 2.0 has been in development for a while, supposed to be a huge update aka "the VBar killer".

You can get them at Tower Hobbies:

In my opinion, still one of the best systems. Best nitro governor, most responsive, best radio integration, and best tail feel.

The 1.31 firmware is great!

You guys do know that the original cgy750 was disconnected and second gen is what is sold now. Not sure what the differences are but old stock number has been replace. Also the packaging is different. And i do agree with bkervaski, best nitro governor and best tail.

It's my understanding the unit itself is unchanged. They unbundled the RPM sensor (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXAZMB&P=7), which was originally included with the CGY750. It can now be purchased separately. They also changed the packaging. As a result the price has been lowered and you don't have to pay for the RPM sensor if you don't need one. Certainly a win-win situation.

Correct.

Cost of the rpm sensor aside, they saved a fair amount of money by doing away with the bound manual.
