Hi, I have a 12FG and want to get a nano cpx and came across the orange module, it says compatible with all Futaba 5 pin modules. I can't for the life of me find out if this will work with my radio.

Thanks in advance.

David

Found these (2) posts from a search, see Alekoy's post regarding pin-count for the 12FG ;

One possible reason why the 10C could be faster than some of the other transmitters (ignoring the 8FG for the moment!) is 4 extra pins on the module. From the back most Futaba modules are rectangular with 5 pins sticking out of the radio, but the TM10 has an extra bit that sticks out with these extra pins inside. These pins only seem to be on the 2.4ghz module which explains why the 10C is much faster than 9C with a TM7 or TM8 module (or even the DM8 Spectrum module). Presumably these extra 4 pins are some native protocol to get the stick positions to the module that don't include encoding and decoding a PPM/PCM stream.

The 5 standard pins of a module are as follows (found on another post!):
Pin 1- PPM/PCM Signal to module
Pin 2- V+
Pin 3- RF Detect out
pin 4- Ground
Pin 5- RF

I have no idea what the other 4 pins are.

It makes no sense for the 10C to be faster than a 8FG though.

the TM-14, 2,4ghz FAST module for the 12FG has 10 pins.
and there is another 6 avaliable for unknown reasons.
It may still be possible to use the OrangeRx Module with the 12FG "if" you could determine which pin-leads needed to be connected (and made yourself a small pin connector-type cable)

Hope that Helps

Your only hope is to plug it into the trainer port of the 12FG. That's what Spektrum does.
