Trying to decide weather to use the built in bec in the yge or eliminate it and just use the Hercules. I am installing in a goblin 500 with bk servos and a mini vbar. What kind of reliability comes with the yge?

YGE BEC is plenty good enough. 6A Continuous and 12A peak and has 2 power leads to the RX/FBL unit.

120 is a little overkill for the Goblin 500 though, im pretty sure YGE do a 90LV.

Scratch that, the 90LV only has a single BEC lead to the RX so no good.

The YGE 90LV that Ready Heli carries has 2 BEC leads. It also has the built in phase sensor if you want to use an external governor. I use the BEC on a Logo 550sx and it handles it with no problems. Go with the 90 and the internal BEC and save some weight.

YGE 120LV electronic speed controller (2-6S)

Technical data:

- The specified current is the maximum continuous full power current with adequate cooling.
- 2 to 6s LiPo, with under voltage protection by power reduction.
- 6 to 18 cells NiMH, with under voltage protection by power reduction.
- disconnectable under voltage detection.
- switching BEC: 5.7V / 7.4V / 8.0V, 6A continuous, 12A peak.
- 2 BEC cabels (Master and Slave)
- Speed regulation (Governor mode).
- Vbar governor ready with speed sense output.
- Soft start.
- Active free-wheel, allowing unlimited part load operation.
- Automatic or 6 step adjustable timing.
- Continuously adjustable F3A brake.
- 3 steps adjustable regular back EMF brake.
- Switching rate: 8 to 16 kHz.
- Speed limit: 240,000 RPM (2-Pole motors).
- Temperature and overload warning.
- Anti sparkling circuit: reduces connection sparkles.
- Programming with the ProgCard II or III.

- Programming with the ProgCard II

- Weight 29g, 69g with cables

- Dimension 70mm x 25mm x 11mm

2 BEC cables metioned in the specs for the 120LV but not the 90LV, pictures of the 120LV show 2 cables but only one on the picture of the 90LV?

Maybe there is a new 90LV with 2 cables?

Ah my apologies, it would seem fast lad performance have an older version picture and spec on their website but it still shows HV servo voltages which I thought was a fairly new thing so assumed it was the latest version.

If you fly in warm weather better get the yge120 lvk as the goblin 500 doesn't have a great amount of air flow.
