Answer to the question found on the Logo Forum, to Steve Smith:
Hi Steve,

no worries, Mikado products will definitely be available on the U.S. market in the future ... an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
Until then, we can not tell more I'm afraid.

Kind regards

Eddi
There will be an announcement when it's time to do so. Until then, you can join the rest of the speculators on this thread:

Yep, all ANY of us can do is just sit back and wait for the next
announcement. I just don't see an issue here; Mikado is going to
make sure we get parts, etc. Somewhere........when this is all said
and done.

NOT making shelf queens of my Logos just yet.......

Seems the big point that everyone is missing in this is that one or both companies involved seems to not give 2 sh!ts about its customer base. The supply chain to needed parts has been broken and someone is at fault. What can we do about it as consumers? Very little, we are already invested in the products. So that leaves us all waiting for the guilty party to pull their head out of their ass and start caring about customer service. I will save the specific slander for when everything. Comes out in the wash.. Somebody is not getting my business anymore, RH .. Or mikado.. Makes no difference to me.

V-bar
I have a full size V- bar Silverline on order thru Ready Heli. If they will not be filling the order, where do I go, to MSH, Ikon, Spectrum or shall I continue to put up with the German arrogance of Mikado, I'm ready to make a switch but it means getting rid of 10 or more Vbars.
I can't wait for their arrogance to pay off in the marketplace!

If they don't have it worked out by the time I get my Diabolo in, I am switching. And I will change my others out too.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'm sure both companies want to make money by selling products. I'm optimistic things will be better for both when it's all said and done. I don't think either party wants to lose out on a sale.

German arrogance? As opposed to American? If ready heli took your money, they owe you your Vbar not Mikado.

If any company is slow to get a hint, they'll either go broke or they will see profits drop and ask "why?".

Heli-itis sufferer.

"Arrogance of the Germans"
^
LOL

I guess RH has had with being the only company handling technical problems/questions with Mikado.

I imagine that must be like being one two people handling all the safety issues of the Metro North, LI Railroad and the rest of the United Stars and Canada Railroad system. Its just all going to hit a peak when the "arrogance of the Germans" expect perfection all the time without compromise.

Troll
Old Hippie
I don't know what a troll is but it doesn't sound like a good thing, therefore I'm glad your opinion is humble.
I probably did overreact to the Ready Heli situation but it was a little distressing At any rate I posted on several sites in hopes that I could get a response from someone in the know such as Dave Dahl and he did respond.
Nicely I might add!
Thanks sseppala

I don't get why every one is freaking out so much about this. I think we will see better prices because of compation between vendors.

Mikado already outlined how they wanted the announcement to go out and RH violated that. Sounds to me like RH was not pleased with Mikados decision.

In the background, Mikado is setting up a new company. They obviously know who it is. Normal start up stuff, parts need to ship in from Germany. Ocean is 3-4 weeks, consolidated air is 10 days. Then the new vendor needs to load all the part numbers into the system and organized the stock so you can see what they have and orders can be processed.

Releasing the name of the new vendor before you can actually order parts would be a mistake, the new guy would be inundated with inquires and not focusing on the real priority of getting the new inventory organized as quick as possible.

And yes Europeans do things different. It is a cultural thing. I have worked with European based companies for 20 years and I am still not use to how they do business. If you want to buy from them, you have to play by their rules.

The big deal here is Mikado relied on only one company in the USA. When this happens to a company that carries Align (or similar), it is not nearly as traumatic since you can find parts at many other sites.
