[quote] notice that Readyheli is now advertising the SAB Goblin as "Coming soon" ?[quote]

That would be great. still be able to stick w. my favorite on-line
shop then.

As far as the rest of this thread, will do as others have mentioned. Sit back, watch and see how it all irons out. When the
dust settles, there should be a good flow of Mikado product from
SOMEWHERE, once again.

And IMHO, I thought R/H and Mikado went together very well!! But I
simply have not had a lot of the issues I have been reading about
the last several months though.

Surprising announcement. I hope all is going to be well with both. I wish they just announced "We're partin' ways to do this....". This partial announcement is somewhat worrysome.

I’ve had good service with RH I don’t think they are to blame for parts support issues because its not an isolated incident. When RH was out of stock on certain Mikado parts the Canadian Mikado retailer was out too. There has been issues with the parts supply pipe line from Mikado's end.
That's what I heard also....RH said they would order 10 Vbars, for example, and Mikado would send them 2.

Remember it was HD that sold clone Mikado spares
Yeah, someone here recommended their "hardened" shafts so I got some. They were cheese. I made a video where I drilled through one in a single pass with a Harbor Freight drill that has trouble going through wood. I think that video kinda ticked off some at the time. LOL

The second hole was in a genuine Mik shaft and it did the bit in...as it should.

I remember that video...I got two of those shafts also, but they were too long for my Logo 400. I came across a few genuine Mikado shafts, so I never used the cheap ones. I've beat the heck out of one Mikado shaft and never had to replace it...I'm well stocked on Logo 400 main shafts

Ready Heli, Mikado
I have found that Ready Heli shipped products faster and deliveries came faster than any other supplier including Heli Direct, Amain, Experience, Horizon, Tower, Heliproz, Ron Lund, etc. They often were out of stock but delivered quickly when back in stock. My feeling was always that Mikado produced at a German pace, probably to give the illusion of exclusivity. We all know it takes longer to produce quality, right?
Waiting for Vbar Silverline right now.
Well I hope Experience or Helidirect gets the line and not Horizon.
Maybe I should get rid of my Logos but I have to stay with Vbar on Synergys, Miniatures, Thunder Tigers and Compass since that is what they all have on them.

I have been ordering from ReadyHeli for 6 or 7 years, always had fast shipping, and always liked the mints they put in the package.

You guys are complaining about Mikado, try buying an outrage and then getting blanked on most of the parts. I am half afraid to fly my N2 because of the parts pipeline is so bad.

I was going to order a logo 500 from RH but will hold off to see what happens. I think Thunder Tiger had problems with distribution at one point and now Tower Hobbies is the distributor for TT. Would not be surprised to see Tower pick up the Mikado line. They are big and distribute many items in the U.S. to any LHS or web based retailer that wants them. They have the $$ to do it.

Looked at the Logo Forum on the Mikado website, response to a question from "Steve Smith", asking after ReadyHeli, will there be Mikado sales/support in the US this coming year:
Hi Steve,

no worries, Mikado products will definitely be available on the U.S. market in the future ... an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
Until then, we can not tell more I'm afraid.

Kind regards

Eddi

Really? Great Planes? The Evil Empire?

I'd like it to be a company that actually understands the RC Helicopter business, and who is in the business for the long haul. Great Planes/Tower Hobbies just doesn't scream Heli Expert to me.
