Looking good.

Interested to hear reports after you have a good few flights on them.

Actually the first HD500 Cell has about 97 flights on it now. The second one has about 15 flights by now.

First one had one crash out of 12 ft nose down due to a wire coming off. It was at the end of a loop coming nose down.
Crash went not bad at all. Canopy beaten up very bad. Still rest survived very well. Just the main blades, one bearing shot, one linkage broken and a set of screws and spacer from ;landing gear mount bend. Thats about all. Heli is back in the air just fixing canopy with epoxy and straighten the screws and spacer as good as possible.

I know this thread is a few months old but would like to know how the helicopter is holding up and surprised that this solid looking machine is not very well known.

Wish the canopy enclosed the motor. Would look a bit better IMO.

The heli is actually holding up very well. In case of a crash you see the typical stuff - I sometimes have to change the side frames and landing gear. For sure I have to change the bottom frame spacers and screws.

What I normally do is put it on the side and change one side first and if the other is damaged do that second. Fixing it is pretty easy.

One machine has about 3000 flights on it -> its the very first production machine and I left it completely V1 from initial batch. The other two machines have a few hundred flights.
The End of 2015 and this year they did get less flight time on my end since I am mainly flying the big brother - HD750 for the moment.

About the canopy -> with the canopy open you get enough cooling for the motor. So actually not always bad but a matter of different taste. Some like it - others do not.
