Government Takeover: White House Forces Obamacare Insurers To Cover Unpaid Patients At A Loss

“What’s wrong with ‘urging’ insurers to offer free care?” you might ask. “That’s not the same as forcing them to offer free care.” Except that the government is using the full force of its regulatory powers, under Obamacare, to threaten insurers if they don’t comply. All you have to do is read the menacing language in the new regulations that HHS published this week, in which HHS says it may throw otherwise qualified health plans off of the exchanges next year if they don’t comply with the government’s “requests.”

Obamacare is wildly unpopular and yet this dude wants to play dictator in America right now?

You'd think he'd want to make friends at this point as opposed to pissing off the insurance companies with a hard ball maneuver

You have to remember that there is a lot at stake in this thing.

Well, some would consider the success of the entire democrat party is a lot.

They are truly on very, very thin ice. And, it's getting thinner each day. There is no telling how far they will go. But there are certainly signs of how far they will go.

It's going to get very interesting.

They are simply banking on the belief that there are more lazy, unscrupulous slackers in this country than there are working people.Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

ya know, what would've been wrong with buying or keeping your insurance even if it didn't meet the mandates, THEN pay the penalty??? Because in most cases that would be cheaper.
Oh, that's right. Obama made it ILLEGAL to sell policies that didn't meet their mandates.

In the long run it would have been much cheaper if we all could have kept our current plans and then paid the penalty.
We would have better healthcare that way too.
The good news is that the dems are going to go down with this stinking obamacare disaster.

Yes.

But, that could never happen because the mandates of ObummerCare has nullified all health plans before the bill was passed.

They claimed to have a "Grandfather" clause that allowed those pre existing plans to stay in place. But, the restrictions in that "Grandfather" clause were so stringent that no pre existing health care plan would survive.

Thus, we have almost 6 million folks that have health plans that have been canceled and only 360,000 people have "Enrolled" in ObummerCare.

In other words, ObummerCare has very quickly gone from "Insuring the Uninsured" to "Uninsuring the Insured"

It's so dastardly to take the entire health insurance industry and scrap it to create a cornerstone for a socialist society here in the USA.

You keep the things that work and improve the things that don't.

Work on the pre existing condition problem and help people that are between jobs find affordable health insurance in the gap that cobra makes it too expensive to afford, but shi+ can the entire industry for Barry to pull more power to the gov and it stinks to high heaven.
