If you have access to android phone download vibrio meter app and check each motor individually for vibration. Prop imbalance and/or bearings can compromise motor performance.

Is this a home built unit ?
1) Make sure the unit is balanced around it's center point, with batteries installed. (All units, home or kit)
2) Make sure all motor shafts are pointing vertical, a motor/mount thats slightly tilts a motor will force it to wander.
3) Make sure all motor shafts are exactly the same distance from the center pint of the craft.
4) All the props are the same make and pitch for ccw and cw props. No damaged or chipped props.
5) All frame components and motor mounts are tight and secure from moving or twisting,
6) All esc are the same make and programmed the same.
7) All motors are the same brand and model number.
.
. All these apply to home built and kits if you have had a crash.

.
.
Post a picture of your octo.

hi Gyrofreak! today i corrected the point of motor shaft all at 90 degree with the level....
the esc are all the same and all programmed with the same program card one by one.i had calibrate the full/minim throttle all togheter, not one by one.
the motor are perfectly the same, but i'm not sure one or two motors work perfectly in terms of efficency/power(ex...because they are old) but i don't know how to find they.....have u got an advice???

i did a little little crash bacause a regulator failed at 1mt from the land and i broke 2 prop.but after the replacement part, the drone continue to fly well for 10/15 time.

tomorrow i 'll see the point 1-3-5!and i will post a photo!

ok guys! today i tried to find the defective motors with any results
then i tried to "transform" the octo in +quad and Xquad to find the motor/motors .....BUT with negative results...

motors are all balanced, all shaft at 90degree,all balanced, only not balanced are the prop.

if i increase the gain the problem is the same and the octo shake obviously..

BUT I NOT REMEMBERED TO SAY YOU AN IMPORTANT THINGS!!!!!!THIS PROBLEM SHOW ONLY IN AUTOLEVEL MODE!!!!

my set up :
cinestar octo
hoverfly pro
hovefly gps
turnigy plush 80A
kw 10 motors(tiger motors)

i've got a video of the problem(trasformed in x4), i will post the link soon!!!finally, with +quad, x quad or octoflat the problem is the same.

video!
hey guys!!!! this is the video!!!i'm flying with octo transformed in x quad but as you can see i've got the same problem....ONLY IN AUTOLEVEL MODE.

in first 32second i fly in autolevel with the problem that you can see very very good(incluse the strange glitch of the motor....you heard?? )

after this i fly in manual mode and it is perfect.

at 50seconds i fly in autolevel with the same problem.

Watch at YouTube

i discvered that when the drone drift with the yaw, at the end it return at the correct position.....did you see???
