Who's your Mentor?
Everyone has one main person they need to thank for all their help!
So this post is an addition to BlackHawks (who's you buddy).

My mentor and buddy and go to guy is the "Heli Whisperer". On this forum, dw12. If it wasn't for him I would have been done quite a while ago.
Thanks Dan!

I have to agree with Wrongler.....dw12 has always helped me, from the very first day I met him and he doesn't make you feel like a newbie or that you can't fly. He has flowen the maiden flight for me on all of my heli's. Like Wrongler said, without his help I would never had continued with heli flying and that is true for a lot of people at our club. Thanks Dan

I have two local guys.

D.Magee a friend of ~40 years. Kind of lost touch for a while, so I didn't know he flew, until this summer. Really got me off on the right foot and is always a great source of help and info.

Raptorman33, who I bought my first heli from (Logo 400 which I still have) has helped me learn a lot, and helped keep my confidence up.

And many guys online have been very valuable...wrongler is one for sure.

My two local guys

Ron Lund and Nathan Spencer

Only these two guys can make one auto to a small card table to build up confidence!!!! Did I mention this was sober?? Lmao! I will always think "in the back of my mind" they saw parts in my little thought bubble.....lmao

It was always convenient for them to say " don't worry RP! We got the keys to the shop!"

At Nathan's house there never was an excuse to have downtime!!!! I miss those days!!!!!!
Highly Medicated for your protection......

I don't fly a lot but my kid (Ryan Sams) does fly a lot. I am going to speak for him a little bit here but for him I would have to say it was Todd Bennett. I have taken him to 2 of his classes and even outside the class when we see him at a fun fly or at xfc or anywhere he is always helping him. I can't say enough good about Todd and what he has done for his flying. He is one person that no matter how long we are in this hobby we will never forget. His classes are the best and I can't thank him enough so I will get on here and brag about what he can do as far as teaching.Team Jr

Have to give 'props' or 'rotor props' to rv6av8er!

Not too many fly Heli's in my area and if it wasn't his amazing flying skills and demos I never would have had that the thought of "Wow that was awesome!"
"I want to do that!"
Been hooked ever since.
Thank you Kelly!

Lots of great advice here on RR, but Jeff Polisena has been the single biggest help and last word on both fixing and flying at the airfield.
