2 Power supplies - Parallel or Series
I've been reading a lot about the buck/boost issue here, and see that it is more of an issue when charging from a generator.

I have an iCharger 308Duo and a 12v 47A power supply from Feathermerchants. I want to add a second power supply. I know that raising the voltage is usually better because it lowers the current, but would running them parallel be better to avoid the buck/boost issue?

I'll be charging two 6s 5500mah packs in parallel from each channel off of a Ryobi 2200 watt generator at 2C. (5500 + 5500 = 11000 or 10.1 amps, right?)

Which setup would be best for this application?

You want to run the power supplies in series to double the voltage to 24v.

2 5500mah 6s packs in parallel per channel at 2c would be 22 amps per channel.
60% of the time, it works every time!

Thanks Richardmid1,

I ordered another ps from Feathermerchants, modded to add to my setup to get 24v. That should feed my 308Duo quite nicely.

For anyone shopping for power supplies, I got a shipping notice from Feathermerchants 8 HOURS after I put in the order, on a Saturday evening. That's pretty far-out service in my book.
