JR DMSS RX Low Voltage
My test today indicate that the JR DMSS 831 RX will operate down to about 3.5 volts as will the JR WV servos. This is fine for 2S A123 at ~6.3 volt recharge and very little high drain dip. A bad ESC or switching regulator set at 5 volts could reset you. The reconnect time is sub 1 second but not by much. Maybe 0.6 sec. Hard to measure.

Four Stroker,
The next piece of the test is how long of a dip below 3.5 V can it tolerate before resetting. I.e., what is it's hold-up time of the internal regulator/filter circuit.

Don't have the equipment ! If I could measure milliseconds, I would have given a more precise reconnect time.

XG14E assembled with wings and struts fits in a 12Z case perfectly.

I should have been doing these tests as radio systems have been passing through my hands. Oh well.

You would think they would put a little supercap in there so it (the receiver only) would run for a second or so without any power ! Would have prevented a lot of crashes.

Exactly!!! The receiver circuitry requires very little current itself.

I run fromeco dcups on my 700's for that very reason. As far as I can tell 2 to 4s of power. I've actually auto'd 3 times on just the dcup power, but if your above say 100' feet I don't think you would make it. I lost power from Main lipos from the leads tearing off the aluminum tabs on the lipoAgile Sky-hero team Team jramericas.com Field Rep Spin Blades
