The the way I had a second crash it was too dark and I lost it in the sky. It dove right into 5 in he of snow from 30 feet (with TH Hold) zero damage. I pick it up and finished the pack with snow in it Lol. So I can now say it snow resistant .

Lol
Yeah the wind will only be 9mph tomorrow and not 26mph...lol... so i may try and keep it in one piece and fly it in our basket ball court at work and see what it will do in no wind enviroment and gets some blade scrapes in lol... I havent been this excited about a micro in awhile and ive owned everyone of them lol..this one seems to be the missing link

Ok had 1 more crashes.

The third crash was into drapes. Which broke off the skids. Now at first i thought that was it. did now 40 more flights after that until i noticed when i started to fly at Higher RPMS I started to get a little vibs. Further looking into the problem i have managed to crack main frame. It was trick to notice but its cracked under the motor mount. But I have managed still to make more 40 flights. Will post pics later.

BTW don't do funnels in the house. Actual stick to outside with this guy. Hit hard surface is not good.

The fram has cabon renforcment in the from but in think they might need to reinforce the motor mount too.

Fixed and i put another 40+ flights. This is solid in flight. Only issue that keeps pooping up is the landing gear falls off sometimes.

Can't you put a little glue on the landing gear to hold it in place?Bill Whittaker

Well you could but if you break off the pegs. Then you will be stuck replacing the airframe too. i think the best solution is some kind of pin tru the pegs. I been lucky only happened in the upright position. But if it happened during a flip, the bird would be in pieces. Its the weight of the battery and small vibs that make it come out. But no big deal just need to check them every few flights. And push them back in if they moved a little.

No because if you need to take about your screwed. I did find why it was falling off so easily. In one of the crashes i bent feathering shaft. This cause vibration. After i replaced the shaft it does not fall off. But as a precaution I did just add some rubber cement, because I'm been doing lots of flips and inverted stuff with the bird. Better to safe then sorry.

1st flight, not!
I unpacked my 150DFC for Christmas and surprise, one of the swashplate arms was broken. I contacted Align and Tim was nice and said he'd put a new swashplate in the mail. A couple of days later after receiving the new part, I installed and was excited to finally see how this bird flies. Got it in a hover and seconds later something obviously flew of the heli and I hit throttle hold. After what I thought wasn't a bad hit I found a bent boom and cracked frame! Not too happy! Also, one of the blade holder bolts had snapped. No damage to the blades, motors, main and tail, but I have a lot invested in this little guy without a flight!
Been flying over 10 years and have never had "teething" problems like this!
I had a new 130x with a bad servo which HH replaced. Had a tail let go on same heli, but hardly any damage done, so on the new 150, I don't see it being a very good Align product.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck georgegv, what flew off your heli when you said some thing flew off and you hit throttle hold. I know you mentioned a blade bolt snapped, but you did not say if that is what flew out while hovering or the result of the crash. I just got mine yesterday, I hope it is the improved model.

150DFC crash
What flew off was one of the two balls on the inner ring of the swashplate. When it crashed the frame cracked next to the bolts holding the motor, bent the tail boom and the blades didn't even get a chip, but one of the blade holder bolts snapped.

Your crack on the frame is exactly what happend to mine . It does seam to be a weak point there. Now that few updates are coming out. I hope align does upgrade the frames too.
