trex 150 First Crash !!!! Pics ( crash count 3)
Ok did around 50+ flights before i bashed into a metal cabinet at full speed. The damage was not bad at all. The canopy broke ripped on the bottom and the mount holding the tail motor broke. I do kinda see how the tail motor can get damage. Because the housing broke and let the motor fall out it can easily destroy the wiring. But honestly 150 hit that cabinet very hard. I put motor back in the broken housing and retest the system. No vibration no other damage it hovered fine. I have a spare tail parts so i will replace the housing. A nice metal housing would be safer for the motor.

Here is the only thing that sucks , looks like they only way to replace the hub and tail boom is by doing some major surgery . To remove the motor I u have to unsolder the hair thin wire from the esc connector.

This should be redesign it's hard enought to snake the wires back in. Also don't know how I'm going to mark the wires. The there should be a connector on the motor or someway with using solder gun.

I guess the heli is like the rest, If you crash it hard expect repairs (that's normal)! But what I have been reading is the heli has lots of power and fly's great.
Bottom line, if I buy a micro the Align 150 will be it!

Every one that reads this is going to read that it crashed and not read that you had 50 FLIGHTS ON IT before you tried to move a metal cabinet with it.
What about the 50 flights....what was your conclusion about the flights not the crash.

Good question. Its great. I was testing how low i can set the TC curves before the heli became unstable in fight. I started at defaults from the book and decrement by 3 all the way down to 54 52 50 52 54. For indoor house flying its TOO MUCH Power still. Also tested the other style blades. They are ok but the seem to put to much lag in the system for me. I thing i would need to remove the default expo to use them right. Here is the reason i crashed. On of my lovely cats decided that my foot was a chewy toy, she distracted me at the worst moment when i was fly towards my face. This cause me to duck and the 150 went behind me into my cabinet. No th-hold full speed. So the damage was nothing but i will have to say this. The wires coming from tail motor all the way back to the ESC are the motor windings. I thing that is a very bad idea. In the manual they say you can disassemble the plug. LOL its molded as one pice , trying to remove individual pins would mostly cause you to rip the wire. This really need to be addressed.

If it's a PL6, you need the main connectors in as well!
PL8 is the only one of the two that can charge via balance leads alone!

The only issue i had the include battery was damage. Cell 2 was at 1V and Cell 1 was 2.7. I attempted to fixed the problem got the Cell up to spec but even after matching the capacity back up. Cell 2 would self discharge after few hours. Did not matter to me to much i have 4 more.

Update after about 4hr messing around with the connecting wires on connector. I modify the connector.

Like i said the instruction assume you can removed the pins back out. Howevery here is the major FLAW. The wires must have been solder on while the pings where in the housing. So they fuse to the plastic.

I solved the issue by breaking about the plastic housing and resoling the wires just to the pins. Also i put a heat shrink tubbing tru the entire motor winding.

No issues in flying it again. Still rock solid.

Sorry too hear about your battery...
Just put the second charge on my pack ... On the pl6 balanced well and held 4.20 v per cell internal resistence was pretty high as most all of the micro batteries are lol... It was reading 69 on cell one and 2... Hope fully that will come down a bit after a few cycles ... The heli flys pretty good plenty of power thats for sure lol... Seems a bit unstable in piros like it wants too fall off the float point of the disc and drop altitude .only while upright though inverted was not too bad.....turned up the cyclic gain on the board too almost 1 oclock but the heli has alot of elevator bobble in fast forward inverted flight so i will back it down too around 12 oclock again and try it ... i also had too turn the roll rate dial up too 1 oclock but it was overshooting forward flips ..soo i will back that setting down too 12 oclock also... It just wasnt enough roll rate at the stock setting it just did a big lazy flip at that setting which was not fun lol... I will play with gains and roll rate again tommorow and see how it affects flight characteristics ... Main thing im concerned about is that elevator bobble... Its pretty bad i may just recheck the swash and and zero pitch and start from sctatch and then figure out the rest of the puzzle... But over all it flys good no crash report yet but ille tinker with settings saturday and sunday... And then at the last part of the day try and get it too crash ...lol... As i can order more parts and have them in before the weekend again

I'm amazed by the power. Only thing I have not been able to do is get into the setting for the esc and put it soft start mode. Some reason does not want to jump in setup mode. Also I have not played around with the mr3gx setting yet. Btw for a v1 it's night and day difference between blade.

I am glad to hear some FLIGHT REPORTS instead of crash reports. From the sound of what you guys are saying the 150 out of the box is way better than the 130POS. At least the tail is holding...not getting any reports that it just does it's own piros on it's own.trex 700fbl cal30,minititan,, trx600fbl,trex250,logo 500,Velocity N2

Only upgrades i would like to see.

1) metal tail hub
2) metal swash plate
3) a way of disconnecting the tail motor better.

The rest is fine. For a first pass this is -A .
