I'd say highly unlikely given the visability. But then again, there will always be cowboys ...

OK, now everyone has something to try at their favorite rc flying club! A stack of trees, a couple of trucks and a maniac at the controls, fits right in with an RC heli group!Bill Whittaker

Helicopters are allowed to fly in much lower weather conditions than planes ...This guy is just "plane" good !!!! Hope that 250C 30 doesn't hick-up on him......I dream of a better world, A world where a chicken's crossing a road IS NOT questioned

Wow! That's pretty nutty flying but it would have to be that fast to make it cost effective at all. Think about how much it costs an hour to operate a heli and how much Christmas Trees sell for.

That's how it's done in the Pacific Northwest. I did it for one season and it was fun, but pretty dangerous. I personally know three pilots that have crashed slinging trees.

Back when I did it using a helicopter added about 60 cents per tree to the cost of harvesting. I am sure that it's much more today. The faster the pilot the less it cost the farmer per tree.

Depending on the machine, you carried about 800 lbs of trees per load. The larger the tree the fewer you can carry.

I have some pictures and video somewhere, I will try to upload tomorrow.

If you do something enough you get real good at it . This guy probably doing this for many years and timing is mastered . Cable probably has a release and pilot can trigger from pitch or joystick.

I drive a forklift for a living and over the last 16 yrs the forklift is just a part of me . I can feel weight and drive it moving freight like picking up a fork to eat .

As far as real yes .In video it is from a distance and camera will pickup more than naked eye.
I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

its probably a weight release, the weight of the trees holds it closed and when the weight is off it releases.Aut viam inveniam aut faciam

I cant see how that's cost effective, not that i know what it cost's to operate a fullsize for the day.
Why don't they load them with teleporters and the trucks run through a set path ??

Damn good piloting skills thou!!

I like the way a heli can do whatever pilots want at a split second ,the feeling is a rush . If you haven't and can go for a ride with a REAL pilot ,not tour guide you will appreciate it a lot more . Not that a tour guide is not a real pilot but won't fly on the edge .I had the opportunity to ride with a friend in his heli and he asked if I had limits and I said no ,BOY !! that was a ride .I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

all I can say is that guys a super dooper pilot! speaking of, did you know Clint Eastwood flew helis, In the dirty harry days you can see alotta shots from a heli which must have inspired him.

Also whenever he was filming hated the LA traffic so much he got his heli license>>>>>>>" For a few dollars more" can buy anything!
CAUTION!!! politicians may be hazerdous to your well being
