New guy has a question
Ive been flying 3D helis for a while now and decided to build my first scale heli.I bought a prepainted 600 size MD500E from century, the kit is beautiful however the inside of the fuse is unpainted.im going with nitro mechanics and I want to blacken out the inside.but I want to protect the wood and fiberglass.when I build my nitro planks I use finish epoxy on and around the firewall to protect it from fuel soak.So my question is should I paint the fiberglass first then apply finish epoxy,or epoxy first then paint,or has anyone tinted finish epoxy with black dye and applied it that way?or is there a brush on paint out there that will do the job? any advise would be great, thanks for your time. HARRY

You can paint after epoxy. Use a polyurethane and you will be fine ..

You can add black or grey tint to the epoxy and do it all in 1 step vs 2. You can pick up the tint at any fiberglass supply house for $8.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

You can also get water based Rustoleum in a can to use a foam brush on the inside as well. Comes in colors and drys fast, and is fuel proof. If you get some on the outside, use a wet rag to wipe it off.
