Just got Align Ds615s got a problem with pitch! Need Help.
I had some cheep hobby king servos in my Velocity 50 (flybar heli) for cyclic servos. I just replaced them with Align DS615S servos and I used the same servo horns that I had with the old servos on the new Align servos. After I got it back together I checked the pitch. At half stick the blades are at 0 pitch. With the throttle stick all the way up I'm getting +12%. With the stick all the way down I'm getting -5% pitch. It was not doing that with the old servos. With these new Align servos I can see them move farther when going full positive than full negative. Someone told me to take off the servo horns and set all sub trims to zero put my throttle stick at half stick make sure the servo horns are exactly 90% and that might work. I tried it. It didn't fix the problem. I have a DX8 Tx. Any ideas?

What controller? What frequency rate are you using? I would check set up one more time, In TX and heli.

He's running a flybar, so no controller or frequency rate issues.

Things I'd check are:

Servo arms. You say you used the same ones, different servos have different splined arms. It's possible that the HK ones are slipping on the shaft, and you are seeing the results. Align servos use Futaba splined arms, as do a lot of other servos, but it's worth checking.

Different servos will move different amounts, but the variation isn't that wide. Are you sure you didn't change anything in the radio? The behavior that you are describing is a fairly common way people set up their helis with a limited amount of negative pitch in normal mode, moving to a symmetrical pitch curve in the Idle Ups. move the switch in the upper left of your radio to change to an idle up and see if you just don't have a symmetrical pitch curve setup in one of the flight modes.

Also just look at the pitch curves in your radio. I'd bet that the issue lies in there, or your flight modes.

I agree with Eury. Sounds like a pitch curve issue. Make sure to check the pitch with a linear curve. Chuck

The pitch curve is what it was! Thanks guys! I should have known that but forgot. I put it in stunt 1 and it worked just fine. Thanks again!
