I'm a Project Coordinator for an offshore oil and gas service company. We put subsea trees on well heads on the ocean floor to gain control of an oil well.
Get to fly in Super Puma's, S92's and AW139's.

Maybe if you let them try your job, they might let you fly their heli!........

"Ok, I'm going in!...Scalpel...," "Scalpel?...I came in with a sore throat, what are you going to do with that scalpel???" "Hey, wait a minute...arn't you the heli pilot?..."

I met a Life Flight pilot recently, when I metioned the rc helis he said "I heard they are harder to fly than a real one".

I said "I heard the same thing - tell you what - you let me fly yours and I'll let you fly mine - then we'll both know.

My buddy is the mechanic on the sole life flight bird we have here in Valdosta, we just got it last year! I was just down there today and I showed my heli off because I had it in the truck. They were more interested in the truck..

I would love to have his job though, retired Air Force helicopter crew chief and he lands the single position here.

When I was flying, the pilots we had were all really cool about teaching us everything on the EC135. For a while we had a 135 with dual controls and I got to hold the cyclic for about 5 minutes. You're supposed to keep your hand and arm relaxed on the cyclic, but my knuckles were pretty white LOL

Worked in IT for almost 20 years. Now I'm in graduate school to become a Physician Assistant. The only downside is school is so intense I don't have time to fly

Did Motorcycle restoration and custom paint/build, fabrication a few years back. Kidney transplant survivor, 50 years old started the hobby when I was 9 years old. Had money when I was a pipe welder in the propane / petroleum industry. Build trucks now and work on handicap mobility vans and bus's , my way of giving a little back.
I believe the big man upstairs kept me alive to pass on what I know to others and to my boys.
Make just enough to stay alive and to keep insurance. $80 grand a year for medication so I don't have much after the insurance gets that bill.. But I'm still flying and enjoying a second chance at a lot of things.
Its nice to be the Big Dog.

Had to post here since I haven't seen one with a similar job.

Cemetery Superintendent
I bury boxes in the ground to get boxes in the mail!

I've buried my heli's into the ground many times but have never let them rest in peace! Although the thought has crossed my mind at times!
