So be bless with what you get from us tax players,
I am not taking money from anyone. I am simply getting money back that I paid for almost 50 years.

Same as you will do when your time comes.

My last pay stub, and every pay stub for that matter shows my SS tax to be almost equal to my federal tax. My SS tax is more than my state tax. My last SS earnings statement says I could collect $1287 a month on SS at retirement age of 67. That's not even 1 paycheck, so anyone that plans on SS to replace a paycheck isn't planning for their future very well.

How the hell did this thread go off into a retirement pissing contest anyway? Oh wait, I know!

Conservatives claim to be Christians or followers of God. Yet it was God and Jesus that helped and feed the sick and the poor. Today if you are sick or poor, the republicans tell you to piss off and help yourself because they won't help you. That is not the Christian way. So sad how people claim to be one thing, yet then do the complete opposite. The republicans love to blame the democrats for loss of God in our society, maybe one day you will all look in the mirror and see you are also part of the problem.

Not all conservatives are Christians. Lots are heathens like me....
Where you get it wrong Z, is that we don't have a problem helping others, we tend to do that more than liberals (see charitable donations, Reps vs. Dems), it's not even close.
What I have a problem with, is I have no choice where that money goes. If I want to help neighbor A, then I will. But I have a real problem with money being STOLEN from me to help neighbor B (or some jagoff across the country) that I may despise or deem unworthy of help....
Which is perfectly summed up by this:
There is a differance in helping those in need and giving to the lazy.

We all have agreements and contracts. I work some number of hours and my boss pays me without fail. That is the deal.

Same thing with retirement. I have a contract with the US govt. I work and pay them untill I am old enough to stop. Then they pay me without fail.

They screwed up wasting billions on stupid shat. Obozo spent more than all previous presidents combined, now you get to bail him out for the next 30 years.

Sucks to be you.
