Thanks guys!

Only too happy to share! I don't know how soon that might be, however, here in Michigan USA. I bought this as my off-season project, and not sure how soon I will maiden. We had our first snow sprinkles here yesterday! Whew it's cold out this morning...mid 20's F when I came to work. I must say, with build quality, it is confidence inspiring. I am setting my power expectations a touch low after flying only 12S electrics since early 2011 (well, except for that month or so this summer when I flew Goblin 500). But hope the YS60/Hatori will still be fun.

The atmospheric conditions appear similar to where I am in that it looks like most of the cap head screws have gone rusty.

I am maybe going to replace as many as possible with the torx head screws from the G4 kit.

I do like the G4 servo horns but over here they sure are pricey!

I enjoy flying mine. I have it stock with the TT 53 and matching pipe. I am using BLS451s for cyclic and throttle and a MKS BLS 980 for rudder and a v-bar silverline.

That is a real nice canopy, what's the purpose of the black tubing around the Z bend on the pushrod.

Prevents the pushrod from breaking? Or helps keep things together after it breaks?

Thanks for the compliments on the canopy. I was super impressed with the fit. It arrived with grommets already installed in precisely the perfect location. The grommets were pretty hard, so I replaced them with stock ones, but the holes were perfectly located.

You know, I have my doubts about the heat shrink (two layers) on the z-bend, but it was reported that the team pilots did this to provide at least some small measure of prevention of the wire breaking. It would seem that the cause is vibration in the wire near the coupler. I was careful to locate the nearest rod support a ways away from the coupler so it would allow the coupler to vibrate with the wire instead of trying to resist it (the mass of the coupler would tend to cause the wire to absorb all the stress). I know, it's a weak theory in some respects, but thought I'd see how it goes. I suspect the rod guide placement is the most important aspect. If it snaps, I will either mod with a carbon rod using a bellcrank lever (like the Align design), or make a new wire from some Dubro 4-40 pushrods.

I spoke to the guys at Dubro about this. They suspected the wire provided in the X50 kit might be too brittle. Their product isn't heat treat to the same temper, and is a bit larger in diameter as well.

Try Ron's HeliProz South or Central Hobbies. I believe both carry Tettra.

Thats the first thing i did when i build the X50,was to remove the tail push rod and put one in from the Titan SE,i also added in the extra shims from JR to take away the play in the main grips,no joy there it was to tight, but still flyes smooth

Right, that's another option - to use a aft-mounted servo with a simple straight section of wire. I have the servo mount for that option. Are there spacers which are used to mount to the boom clamp? The mounting holes are not in the plane of the servo plate. They are recessed into the clamp.

Sorry - I missed the question on the fueling valve. I like this feature and hope it's reliable. Correct on sourcing, Datidun. I ordered mine from Ronlund.com. He has by far the best selection of fuel accessories of any place I've found. I have a short straight piece of tubing from the 3-way filter at the main tank, with a plug inserted. Since it's at the high spot, I can unplug this line, and it will vent out the air while filling the tank from below. Used ball links make an ideal line plug and it doesn't matter if I drop it in the grass and lose it! LOL!

When I used the rear servo mount, I bolted it on just like a Titan SE. I removed it because the heli was tail heavy and the servo was getting soaked.

Is the boom clamp case different on the Titan 50SE than the X50? Not sure that it would bolt on directly to the X50 looking at mine. Agreed...I prefer to keep my servo protected up front as well. It's very close to perfect balance as designed, at least on mine. I have a smallish 2S2500 Platinum lipo up front for power.

If you have the PV0321-1, It will fit the R30-X50. The X50E comes with it.
