The invert switch has ran across my readings recently and wondered if anyone uses it, if so what all is involed and how well does it work for someone wanting to start flying upside down? starting to get bored with just flying around, but I knew it would come to this

Invert switch is old technology. If you want to learn flying upside down, I would reccomend learning it with idle up modes and matching pitch ranges for upright and inverted.

Learn to hover inverted tail out in two days
1. Practice it on the simulator. Just simple tail in hovering about 3 mistakes high and give a half front flip. Have it in the back of your head clearly at least one control that will be reversed, and try to fly that axis and slowly introduce the other "correct responding" axis and it will become muscle memory.

2. Bring your heli to the field. Repeat step 1.

This is well all assuming you have a good setup machine, a well tuned engine and governor. Proper pitch curves and throttle backup curves if the gov goes out which is all very basic stuff and should already be done.

This is the first time ive heard of an invert switch. Must be very old not to mention unused. Sometimes the road less travelled is less travelled for a reason.

Let us know and good on ya for pushing the envelope ive been lazy in learning anything new. You've inspired me.

Do you have a Tx that has an invert switch? They haven't made one for a while now. If you do, don't learn inverted using the switch. You will end up having to unlearn it later and learn "switchless" inverted. If you learn "switched" inverted, everytime you transition from upright to inverted, you will need to flip the switch. It would be very difficult to do today's 3D maneuvers using a switch.

Oh man I remember having a invert switch . It was on my JR 783. Never used it though but I do recall wanting the feature when I purchased the radio . I could only imagine what it would sound like using today . Click click click clickity click . That same radio had a snap roll switch
