Hey guys I am a bit lost at this wireless buddy boxing I have the dx9 bound to my heli and the dx8 bound to the dx9. But it still seems like I have to set up the dx8 completely to get it to work right. For example the throttle curve, pitch curve and servo reversing need to match the dx9 in order to control the heli like normal. Is this right ? do I need to setup everyones radio in order to buddy box them on my helis? I have the dx9 setup as pilot link master.

In Pilot Link Master mode, you should only need a basic, default acro model in the slave transmitter.

You don't set anything on the dx8, you bind it to a clean, blank new model and it should work fine. I have used it with my son.

Then how did his throttle and pitch respond I tried this and it did not work. When I gave control to the dx8 since it was a fresh model all the throttle curves were different and it had not IU1.

In Pilot Link Master, the DX9 uses the inputs from the slave as stick positions, not actual desired outputs. Set the DX8 to a fresh, basic four-channel acro model.

What functions are you enabling on the Pilot Link Master screen?

I set the dx8 as a basic acro model and the dx9 as pilot link master with all the options enabled. And the dx8 is set to slave. The dx8 no has no pitch control only 0-100 throttle pitch is always 100. It does not seem like you can get around setting up the model exactly the same in the dx8.

Hmm. On the PLM screen, I think you should only be enabling the four basic flight controls, not everything.

We have confirmation that it does work like it should, so it's got to be a setting. Can you take a picture of your PLM screen?
