I'm new to the Trex 600 and want to work on autos. I usually use a 700 when I practice them.

How well does the 600E the do autos?.. What is your experience with it?

fwiw...

600 size auto just fine......FBL blades generally auto better than the older FB blades....You lose a bit of hang from a 700, but not enough to really matter....

Have fun!

John.

600's auto great as long as the one-way isn't locked. Try a few baby auto's from 4'-5' high to get a feel of how it'll be at the bottom of the auto. Do your first few on a day with a 5-8mph breeze and that will help a lot.

Great, I'll give it a try next time out. With hovering auto's, I did notice there is not a lot of hang time.

Yes indeed. The one-way makes a big difference in auto's. The new hub with top radial bearing makes a big difference. The Boca FC12 is very tough but autos a lot like the old hub with no top bearing.

Get some wide chord 620 blades to start with !

EDIT: If you are a real maniac and want 700 like autos, get some Spin 600~620 semi blades - 160g and 10 mm wider chord. Normally for scale or camera ships but will auto like a 700 easy.

I would just recommend different blades from the stock ones like CY. Just to have more hangs time

I agree that the blades have a very short chord. I was looking at the 700 setting next to the 600 and thinking that the blades are very small.. but the weight is very similar.

I like the looks of the R-606 Rail Blades Flybarless Main Blades. Anyone tried these?

I don't have the Rails on my 600, but I have them on my 700 and they are a great blade. My 600 is using Radix 600 FBL V2's and they also seem to work well.

The Radix I have used were on the 450 flybar version and they had a lot of pitchy tendencies in fast speed flight. I liked their crisp response in slow flight speed maneuvers but not the high speed issues. I assume that is no longer an issue with the flybarless and larger blades.

If you are interested in trying some different blades, I have some Rails, standard Radix and Sab Red Devils you can try... just don't break them
