The thing to be careful of when substituting in a carbon fiber boom from a different manufacturer/kit is that the wall thickness is sometimes too much and could cause belt interference issues. Could.

Is it for Kyosho Concept 30? If so, I have used a Century tailboom. HW3062 is 20mm O.D., 19mm I.D., 650mm long. There are longer booms also.

Well then, the shaft support(s) wouldn't fit if the I.D. isn't correct.

The carbon boom is 1mm thick which seems fairly standard, if you were desperate they state that thickness can be specified.

good catch and never thought about that! but If I go with the century booms will be ok re the shaft supports, just have to cut the boom down or get longer wire drives, no big deal.......o

Concept 60 SR and SRII boom
If you need a boom for a Concept 60 size heli, the chrome shower curtain rods at Home Depot fit perfect and a bit thicker wall and stronger plus shiney chrome boom, just slot and make holes where you need, cut to length.

What happened, did you bent da boom? I learned to fly on kyosho helis and once i moved onto something else, the kyosho booms seemed so skinny.
