I wouldn't worry much about either, the impact would be so greatly reduced that there would be little chance of a fire. That being said, I understand his concern.

They aren't my crops to risk.
Even if there was no fire, the small patch the heli tears up is actual money out of someones pocket...Maybe only a couple bucks but it's not mine to tear up.

They prosecute around here for taking a single ear of corn from a field and I support that 100%

Mac,
Do you stay up at night and loose sleep on this kind of stuff? Actually I like what you came up with, But seriously don't you have real work bench....or should I say a manely work bench.

I have dozens of work benches and I think this table is the best way to do it.

I like being able to walk around the heli without moving it and messing up something I was working on.

OK I can buy that., As a matter of fact I set up a collapsible table when I have to do maintenance or rebuild time. it lets you work from all angles.

Not really...I just don't ever worry about a battery catching fire.

We just have different views on this one!

Not that I don't treat them with respect...just like liquid fuels.

I'm just no more worried about them than nitro.

Hard to treat them with respect during a crash.

Lipos burn...Nitro spills.

I have seen a heli burning from nitro, it happens! The biggest problem is it burns almost white/clear so you walk up and just see your frames and canopy melting.

Nitro fuel also works well as a very expensive bonfire starter

It happens...Sure.
How often? And what was the fire that started it? Because you have to have a source of ignition with nitro.

Lipos just need a good bump
