I think it's better and more fun than therapy. I'm not so sure about the cheaper part.
I fly toy helicopters. It's cheaper than therapy.
Several of my friends at work ask me what I've been building on or flying (or buying)lately and I'll give them details. I follow up by asking what they've done in their hobby. One friend has been matching me dollar for dollar buying archery equipment and just going wild with it. He brought a pic of an incredible 8 point buck he took last week. I get it that very few wander into our hobby, but more than I expected are interested. Several have invited me and my family to their farms/acreages to fly and set up outings. It is good. I only give details when asked, but by being outgoing and enthusiastic, I am asked about it quite a bit.
I love the smell of nitro in the morning.
